DELAWARE IGAMING WAGERS CLIMB 43% IN OCTOBER

Delaware’s regulated iGaming market continued to grow in October as total wagers increased by 43 per cent compared to a year ago to $25.5m.

The year-on-year growth followed strong performances by all three licensed operators in the state, with Delaware Park seeing the biggest growth in October as iGaming wagers rose 58 per cent to $11.1m.

Dover Down’s iGaming wagers increased by 21 per cent to $8.5m, while Harrington Raceway’s iGaming wagers climbed by 55 per cent to $6.8m.

With $24.6m paid out in winnings during the month, the three operators generated combined net revenue of $930,093, an increase of 44 per cent compared to October 2020.

Video lottery net revenue increased by 58 per cent year-on-year to $711,995, while table games net revenue climbed 25 per cent to $187,454, offsetting a 29 per cent decline in poker rake and fees to $30,645.

Delaware Park generated the highest net revenue in October at $390,946, up 74 per cent versus the same period last year. This included a 73 per cent rise in video lottery net revenue to $290,837, while table games net revenue more than doubled to $83,769 and poker rake and fees fell 20 per cent to $16,340.

Dover Downs’ net revenue of $272,808 was 16 per cent higher than a year ago as video lottery net revenue rose 40 per cent to $206,686 and table games net revenue rose 24 per cent to $58,790, with poker rake and fees down 24 per cent to $7,795.

Harrington Raceway’s net revenue increased by 44.5 per cent to $266,339 as video lottery net revenue rose 59 per cent to $214,935. Table games net revenue rose 23 per cent to $44,895, offsetting a 48 per cent drop in poker rake and fees to $6,509.

The three licensed operators recorded 940 new registrations in October, with 436 new registrations at Delaware Park, 325 registrations at Dover Downs and 179 at Harrington.
