NetEnt enters regulated Canadian and Lithuanian iGaming markets

Stockholm-listed casino games developer NetEnt has announced the launch of its games in the regulated Canadian and Lithuanian iGaming markets.

NetEnt’s games have gone live in Canada with provincial lottery operator British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) following a successful platform integration with International Game Technology (IGT).

The launch on marks the first entry for NetEnt in the regulated market in Canada, and follows a previous agreement with IGT to supply online casino games to BCLC, a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA).

“Launching our games to players in British Columbia is an important milestone for us in our expansion in North America,” said NetEnt chief executive Therese Hillman. “Entering regulated markets is a vital part of our strategy going forward, especially within the WLA segment. I am sure that our exciting games will be much appreciated by BCLC’s players.”

NetEnt also launched its games this week in the Lithuanian iGaming market, having signed up leading land-based betting and gaming operator TOPsport as its first customer in the country.

“We follow our growth strategy by strengthening our position on regulated markets and we are very pleased that our popular games are now also available for players in Lithuania,” said Henrik Fagerlund, managing director of NetEnt Malta and chief product officer of NetEnt.

TOPsport was established as the first betting operator in Lithuania in 2002 and currently operates 31 betting shops, 85 betting locations, 28 TOPsport-branded casino slot machine salons, as well as its online platform.

Shares in NetEnt AB (STO:NET-B) were trading up 1.00 per cent at SEK36.70 per share in Stockholm Thursday morning.
