Spanish betting operator Sportium has signed a long-term agreement with Arena Racing Company (ARC) to broadcast horse and greyhound races across its retail network in Spain.
Sportium, the joint venture betting business operated by GVC-owned Ladbrokes Coral and Spain's Cirsa, will launch the European Racing Channel across its network of more than 3,000 betting shops and points.
The channel features more than 45,000 live events per year, with races from over 20 UK racecourses, more than 50 Australian racetracks, and eight new South African racecourses, as well as greyhound racing via ARC’s Ultimate Live Greyhound Channel (ULGC).
"At Sportium we are delighted to continue increasing our offer with events of the highest quality and attractiveness for our users,” said Sportium CEO Alberto Eljarrat. "We are already a reference point in the racing markets and, thanks to this new agreement with ARC, we can present a powerful offering available across our network, with this alliance significantly reinforcing our competitive advantage and market leadership."
ARC director of international markets Antony Hopkins added: "We are very pleased that Sportium, being the leading betting company in Spain and with a solid track record always in constant expansion, has committed to show the European Racing Channel in its commercial network of Spain.
"This agreement is in line with ARC's objective of providing high quality betting content to our clients in international territories, as well as to our national market."
