Greek gambling regulator launches iGaming public consultation

The Greek gambling regulator formed a working group this week to study the existing regulations and to propose changes to modernise the licensing, supervision and operational framework for online gaming, with stakeholders and the public invited to submit their views by Tuesday December 12th.

The working group will specifically examine the licensing conditions, general and specific obligations of licensees and the current restrictions on their legitimate operations in Greece, and compare these to other European Union member states. It will also examine the issues that have arisen under the current transitional regulations and work to identify possible solutions to these issues.

Parties wishing to submit comments or proposals to the working group are invited to do so by the December 12th deadline by email to info@gamingcommission.gov.gr, including the subject line Public consultation for online gambling.
