Pinnacle to launch MuchBetter iGaming payment solution

Online betting and gaming operator Pinnacle is to roll out a new solution from iGaming payment specialist MuchBetter for its sportsbook and esports betting customers.

By partnering MuchBetter, Pinnacle aims to slash transaction fees and prevent fraud, offering its customers the best possible deposit and withdrawal experience.

The service provider, which is licensed by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, has been building up its client base in recent months, partnering the likes of Finnplay, Lottoland and the LeoVegas-owned Royal Panda.

It allows players to use smartphones, prepaid cards and wearable technology to deposit and withdraw funds from their accounts. Using new solutions such as biometric and device authentications, MuchBetter aims to streamline the payment process for iGaming customers by removing the need for passwords or security questions.

The MuchBetter Wallet also includes a range of anti-fraud solutions, designed to prevent hackers from taking over player accounts, as well as quickly identifying and blocking fraudulent activity such as bonus abuse. It also provides open application programming interfaces, helping clients comply with data protection, Know Your Customer and anti-money laundering regulations.

The solution also allows clients to reduce transaction fees, using a value-based pricing model that charges operators based on each player's net balance over a month, rather than by transaction.

"Given the steady rise of transaction fees in recent years and squeezed margins, it's rare to find a payment partner that is genuinely on your side," Pinnacle head of group payments Isabelle Delisle said. "In MuchBetter, we are working with a trustworthy account team, and have tremendous faith in the extensive experience of the leadership team of course.

"We are confident that our players will love the MuchBetter App, which offers an intuitive experience for our customers to quickly and easily fund their Pinnacle accounts," she explained. "On our side, we're excited by the way that MuchBetter will help us proactively reduce transfer fees, while also cutting down on the most common and most damaging forms of iGaming fraud."

MuchBetter co-founder Jens Bader said the supplier was proud to be launching its solution with Pinnacle.

"Pinnacle needed a solution that offered the functionality that mobile players have come to expect as standard from their mobile apps, and in MuchBetter they have a service that is simplicity itself," Bader said. " MuchBetter seamlessly integrates mobile into the iGaming experience, making payments as quick and easy as ordering an Uber or streaming a film on Netflix.

"There are no passwords, no security questions. Players can make their payments and withdraw their winnings with just their fingerprint and phone."
